CHS NJROTC named "Distinguished Unit with Academic Honors"!

On April 14th NJROTC Area Nine Manager, Commander Merv Dial, announced that Cherokee High School Navy Junior Reserve Officers training Corps (NJROTC) has been named “Distinguished Unit with Academic Honors” for the 10th consecutive year. This distinction is a significant accomplishment, ranking Cherokee NJROTC Cadets amongst the best of the best in the nation’s 80,000 cadets enrolled in the JROTC program.


CHS NJROTC completed 4,450 community support hours and 1,764 school support service hours in the 2015-2016 school year with a total of 6,214 Community Service Hours completed.
