Cherokee’s Will Price and Colten McLain were named to the District 2-AAA All-District boys’ basketball team released last week.
Macy McDavid was named to the District 2-AAA All-District girls’ team. The Lady Chiefs’ Kyla Howe earned honorable mention.
Greeneville, which swept the Twin Lakes regular season championships, took the top honors in both the girls’ and boys’ all-district selections.
Greeneville’s Trey Thompson was named the District 2-AAA Player of the Year. Greeneville’s Brad Woolsey was named Coach of the Year. Greeneville’s Adjatay Dabbs earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Cocke County’s Kyler Hayes was named Underclassman of the Year.
On the girls’ side, Greeneville’s Lauren Bailey was named Player of the Year. The Lady Devils’ Annette Watts was named Coach of the Year. Cocke County, which finished second in the league, saw Paige Neithammer earn Defensive Player of the Year and Blakelyn Clevenger earn Underclassman of the Year.
