Speaking of the yearbook…applications for next year’s staff will be available this week in the main office and freshman academy office.
Credit Recovery is still happening in the library after school, Monday - Thursday, 3-5pm. Get those credits recovered before summer school!
Tomorrow we will begin EOC testing for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. Testing students should get plenty of sleep tonight and remember to charge their chromebook!
It’s Mobuck Monday! Be on the lookout on Canvas for sign up forms for volleyball, flag football, and car show. This year there will be a $5.00 registration fee for each car, truck, and tractor, which may be paid in Mobucks or cash. Please give money to Mrs. King. If you wait until Mobuck Day to register, it will be a $10.00 registration fee. If you do not register, you will not be permitted to participate. Last week’s winners were: Freshman: McKenzie Rowe, Sophomore: Kyler Boyke, Junior: Tucker Turnmire, Senior: Benson Willis. Staff winner is Amber Hipshire. Congratulations to all and your prizes will be delivered later this week.
We want to send a big congratulations to the Cherokee culinary chiefs for placing first in the southeast region junior chef competition. Katelynn Lange, Mack Ward, Corey Hurd and Alyssa Creel competed against the top schools from seven states and took home the gold! This is the first time Tennessee has ever won this competition! There students will receive another $10,000 in scholarships on top of the $10,000 from winning the Tennessee State competition!
