Summer Learning Activity: Play "I Spy"

Hello Hawkins County Schools Families,
To improve bus service for all students, we are asking every family who needs bus transportation for the 2025-2026 school year to complete a new online form.
This quick form will help us create more accurate bus routes, schedules, and student lists, ensuring your child has a safe and reliable ride to school. This form must be completed each year for every student who plans to ride the bus.
Please complete the form here: https://bit.ly/HCSbusform
We will have computers available at back-to-school nights for any family who needs assistance. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!

The above link is for the 2025-2026 Hawkins County Schools Bus Transportation Request.
This is a form that will now be required each year for every student requesting bus transportation. This is the only way to ensure that the appropriate students are assigned to routes and that route times and ridership numbers are correct for the upcoming year. We will be posting this to our Facebook page, the webpage, requesting that the schools share to their respective pages and we will also be sending out a notification all-call beginning Monday to start this process. Additionally, we would request that each school site have a laptop or access available during back-to-school nights for parents that come through and need to complete the form during that time who may not have access to a computer at home.
We understand that this is a change from the "norm" that everyone is accustomed to, but it will be a best practice for the transportation department moving forward working with the Transfinder routing software as we have gained more knowledge about how to utilize its function and design to improve our student transportation data. This will allow us to provide the schools and parents with the MOST accurate information regarding the bus routes, student ridership and times. Transporting students safely always remains our highest priority!

Look at these amazing future innovators! We're spotlighting Mrs. Morgan's Summer Camp STEAM Class at St. Clair Elementary. Students dove into hands-on learning by designing and constructing LEGO cars. They then put their creations to the ultimate test, racing them down a ramp to analyze their durability and performance. Great work, everyone!

Mooresburg Elementary buzzed with excitement during a day packed with engaging activities. The morning kicked off with a flurry of yearbook signing, followed by a cozy classroom movie time where every student enjoyed popcorn and a refreshing drink. Students who demonstrated exceptional behavior, scoring above 90%, were treated to an extra special surprise. Lunchtime brought a delightful outdoor picnic with our houses, and cheers erupted when Amicus house earned an additional reward. The afternoon culminated in the fantastic Mooresburg Talent Showcase, where our talented students shone brightly. The diverse performances included captivating singing, impressive martial arts demonstrations, an intriguing masked dancer, energetic dance routines, more beautiful singing, and enchanting shadow puppet artistry, among other wonderful acts.

A huge congratulations to Amicus House for their phenomenal win in the 2024-2025 House Competition! Your consistent great behavior truly earned you this victory. To honor Amicus's achievement, we're asking all students and staff to wear red this Monday.

The K-2 classes enjoyed a fantastic reward trip to Family Fun Zone today, celebrating their great attendance! A big thank you to Ms. Amber and all the staff who made it such an amazing experience for our students. It's wonderful that Ms. Amber, a former Mooresburg student, was part of the fun. Back at school, the excitement continued with pizza, snacks, and a movie for everyone.
