Today, April 3, we celebrate our support staff across Hawkins County. Please find one of these crucial team members and thank them today as we recognize them for their efforts.

Parents and students are invited to join Mrs. Barker and Mrs. Horton on April 8th from 4 to 5 p.m. for a testing tips workshop and informational meeting. Students will get to make a bracelet to keep as a reminder of the tips they learn. Please email or message Mrs. Barker if you plan on joining. Hope to see you there.

St. Clair Elementary School Special Teams group was awarded with the Resilience Team Award. This team has been working to find ways to support student learning in their classes. Our students are making gains in ELA and Math with their support. It is beautiful to watch and St. Clair Elementary is growing stronger throughout the process.

20 Dollars for 20 Days attendance drawing for parents! Parents of students who have perfect attendance for the next 20 school days will be entered into a drawing for a $20 gas and grocery gift card. See flyer for details.


Students with perfect attendance got to spin the prize wheel and took home some very cool prizes. Students in two different categories were rewarded on Friday, those with perfect attendance for the entire year and for the 3rd 9 weeks. This attendance reward was sponsored by Communities in Schools. We will be having several more attendance incentive programs running through the end of the year. Be on the lookout for the next one coming soon. Let's finish this year out with great attendance!

The State Board of Education Approved Textbooks are available for review on the Tennessee Department of Education website here. In addition, samples can be reviewed on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.at McPheeters Bend School, 1115 Goshen Valley Road, Church Hill.

Voluntary Pre-K is available to children whose birthdays fall between August 16, 2020 and August 15, 2021. Spaces are limited and income qualifications apply. Additional inclusive early childhood opportunities are available for preschoolers who do not meet the income requirements. Hawkins County School District is excited to offer Summer Learning Camps again this summer for our students who will be Rising 1st-9th graders. Summer Learning Camp will take place for four weeks, four days a week, between May 27 - June 19 from 7:30-2:30 p.m. This camp will focus on rising 1st-grade students through rising 9th-grade students. Parents will be notified of acceptance before the start of summer camp. Transportation will be made available daily. Breakfast and lunch will be served as part of the program.
